1ST STEP TO BECOMING SOBER

This is a sculpture of a bird trying to fly but being held back because its legs are caught in barbed wire, attached to a beer can. 

I made this sculpture from the inside of beer cans, symbolising denial.

OL BAG (PORCELAIN)

....So after dipping the previous paper bag into porcelain, i found the tension lines to be very interesting but unfortunately it was too fragile to survive so i decided to dip a canvas bag into porcelain to see the outcome.   

I hung the canvas bag to dry, attaching the handles with string, before putting it in the kiln, to get the tension lines correct.

 

This is the bag after it has been removed from the kiln.  I am very happy with the results.
